Club Events
The following are upcoming events that club members have entered.
April
Bungay Marathon and Half Marathon, 26.2 mile and 13.1 mile, 10th April, a tough hilly course, organised by Bungay Black Dog Running Club. Andy McPartlin, Tom Drew and Chris Pratt will be running the full marathon and Julian Beavis the half marathon. For details click here.
Virgin London Marathon 26.2 miles. 17th April. The London Marathon is the largest Marathon in the UK, with ballot places being exhausted within 24 hours of opening for this year. 37 000 runners will be ling up at the start line, including Jane Gallagher and Aimee Stocker. May
Midland Sprint Series Three race series, including Woodhall Spa, Southwell and Lincoln Triathlon.
Adam Sellars, Mike Staines and Jamie Graham will be competing. For details click here.
Southwell Triathlon, Sprint Distance, 1st May. (Midland Sprint Series- Race 1). The first event of this years Midland Sprint series.

Spalding to Paris challenge. 14th to 17th May. A group of 15 cyclists from Spalding Tri Club and Spalding Cycling Club will be cycling from Spalding to Paris over a four day period
Nottingham Triathlon. 14th May. An open water event with a beautiful, flat course and closed roads.

Woodhall Spa Sprint Triathlon, 29th May. (Midland Sprint Series- Race 2). A good event for athletes of all levels on a picturesque course with a great atmosphere.

Woodland Half Marathon, 29th May. Taking place in and around Bourne Woods, this trail run offers a welcome change from pavement plodding.

June
Dambuster Triathlon, Olympic Distance, 18th June. Based around Rutland Water, this event offers a tough course aswell as a professional setup and large field.

July
Great London Swim, 1 mile open-water, 2nd July. One of the British Gas Great Swim Series, open-water swimming with the masses.

David Lloyd Lincoln Triathlon, Sprint Distance, 10th July. (Midland Sprint Series- Race 3). The final event of the series.

Outlaw Triathlon, 24th July. Iron Distance event, based in Nottingham. 1000 competitors will be undertaking the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run, including Chris Pratt.

Iroman UK, Bolton, 31st July. The pinacle for so many triathletes.
